This week my brother and his wife had their 3rd child. This sweet baby pictured above. We are sooo excited to welcome him into our family. What a blessing to experience the joy an new life brings to a family.
I am nosy. I have to know everything and be in on everything. If I don't know something it drives me crazy! Just ask anyone who knows me well. I didn't get to see this little guy until last night. It just about killed me!!! To not see him the day he was born! AAARRGGGGG! You mean I have to WAIT for something! (I truly don't know the meaning of "delayed gratification")
Anyway- There is just something about a new baby. The quote "It is no slight thing when those who are so fresh from God love us" comes to mind. I have often joked that the one redeeming quality of newborns is that they are so cute, otherwise no one would want one. But it's more than that they are cute. They are so pure. They are so in your care. They depend on you for everything. And while that can be exhausting, there is something about that fact that makes you cling to that little spirit even more.
So this week I am grateful for the blessing of a new little spirit that joined my family by way of my brother & sister-in-law. HOORAY for one more nephew to love!!!
