Jake's Quilt: My Newest Project

So I don't know how many people know, but......
I have a friend who is adopting a baby from Guatemala. They are waiting for the call saying they can bring him home. It could come any time now.

Recently I called Heidi and asked her if she would mind if I made a quilt for Jake. So I have contacted friends and family of hers asking to help.

The idea is that everyone sends a square of fabric and a "good wish" for the baby. Then The squares go together to make a quilt and the wishes go into a scrapbook. So I got the first square in the mail yesterday.

I decided that as they come I will post a picture of them on my blog. And who they are from. I am really excited about doing this for Heidi and Scott. I can't wait until it's finished and I can give it to her.

If you want to read more about their "Journey to Jake" check out Heidi's blog.

If you want to read more about the quilt check out this blog. (nope not an original idea.....they never are)

Awesome, I am going to do it (what size do you want the square to be again?)

I probably read it and forgot now. It's late. I better go. TTYL
